We have a blender we use for dairy milk smoothies. Can we use to blend chick peas for hummus to be eaten with meat meal?
What’s the reason it’s permitted?
Because it’s cold
Because specifically the milk is cold? What if, for example, cold milk was used, but so was hot coffee for a blended coffee drink? Does the parve coffee being hot affect the status on the blades or of the cold milk?
No, for starters because the chick peas are cold AND the blender is used for milk smoothies (read cold).
in the second part of your question you mention pareve hot coffee (I’m understanding no milk): that would not change the halacha.
