Hi this is kosher for Pesach but says kitniyot. I assume because of the vinegar from rice. Is this ok for ashkanazim
Correct. Kosher for Passover for ALL.
(Kitniyos is batel Be Rov)
Would it make a difference if maybe you taste the vinegar in this case? Also the vinegar is pretty high up there on the list. How do you know it’s not rov?
On your first question. Taste isn’t an issue when it comes to Rov, as long as the item is not discernible. (For example, if you see them or there are pieces in the mixture, it would be a problem)
Also to your second question, I hope you don’t take offense if I quote from a video of Harav Ammnon Yitzchak when he was asked a similar question. His answer was, How is it that no one questions a doctor when he tells him to take a certain regiment of pills, or no one doubts the pilot when hes flying the airplane, rather people have faith. Why are we different?
