kitchen table

Do I have to be concerned with putting hot keilim with food directly on a wooden kitchen table, and should I assume that the hot keilim that have been placed there are trief?
Thanks

The only concern you have with putting hot kellim directly on a wood table is the negative aesthetics to the veneer of the table top. From a furniture aspect you may be ruining your table top. From a Halacha standpoint there is absolutely no issue. As hot as the vessel is there is no transference of taste into the table top without the aid of boiling liquid. And there are more reasons why it isn’t a problem. As to the kellim there is surely no problem with them either and may be used as normal.

what if you know hot liquid has spilled onto the table?

Clean the table. Enjoy
