Locusts: Grasshoppers & Crickets

I am interested in Rabbi Abadi’s position on the kashrut of locusts and modern day grasshoppers & crickets. Crickets especially are being bred, farmed, and used in foods as a good source of easily renewable protein, and could be more common in the coming years.

No idea. We were never exposed to those type creatures. Some people claim they know which are kosher and which are not.
…but then again, some people think they know what is techelet.

I’m content with the wonderful array of foods available that doesn’t gross me out. Sorry, if this isn’t what you wanted to hear.
