Why doesn’t “afilu be-elef” come into play if you buy it during the chag?
Chametz is not batel on pesach even 1 in a million.
This refers to when the mix happened during pesach, not before pesach.
Bitul can still apply to items purchased on pesach that was mixed before pesach.
How can we ensure that the product wasn’t made packaged within the past few days? It’s a long shot but definitely a possibility…
Unless you are walking into the manufacturing plant to purchase it will not be made on pesach. It takes a long time to get to the stores.
