Hi,
I wanted to understand more about using (or NOT using) a strainer on Shabbat. Would the assure be pouring something into a strainer, separating the good from the bad OR for example, having a large pot, strainer already inside, and pulling out the strainer this separating the good from the bad?

The use of a strainer for separating on shabbos is not allowed
