I was reading an earlier post about travel and have a question:
Can someone get on a plane in New York heading for Hong Kong, Friday afternoon that will land in Hong Kong after Shabbat ends in Hong Kong ?
No.
One must begin traveling no later than 2x the trips length.
For example, if it will take you 2 hours to travel from your current location to your destination then you must leave a minimum of 4 hours before Shabbat.
