- Is there ever an issue tying shoes on shabbos in whatever kind of knot keeps the shoes closed and won’t be opened until the shoes need to come off ?
- How about tying a simple knot on plastic bags which contain food ?
3.how about tying a knot on a bag containing something which is going into the garbage and you don’t want the garbage to smell all shabbos so you’re knotting the plastic bag containing the offensive item?

- As well as garbage bags, but don’t tie a double knot unless it won’t stay closed without it.
