Add fresh herbs to hot food on Shabbat

Is it okay to sprinkle some fresh herbs like parsley onto hot food on shabbat? can this be done while food is on a plata, or should it be on a serving dish first?

Assuming itโ€™s been checked for bugs, not a problem, but canโ€™t be on food that is still on a heat source

Why isnt there a issue of ื‘ื™ืฉื•ืœ on these added ingredients that you are adding to a hot kli rishon even if off the fire
