We had a timer for an air conditioner set to go on on Shabbos. During Shabbos we realized that the air conditioner on/off dial was set to off.

Since the timer had already gone to ON we could not use the air conditioner on off switch to turn it on.

Can we adjust the timer to its off position, then turn the air conditioner on via its own switch.

Now we can just wait for the timer to turn the air conditioner on.
