Aloe on sun burn on Shabbos

  1. Can one smear aloe gel or silvidine cream on sunburn on Shabbos to reduce pain if pain is very bad?
  2. Does it make a difference if it’s like “daily application “ like one is doing it twice daily for a number of days ?

  1. If the pain is bad enough that you need to lie down to feel better i.e. you cannot function, you may.
  2. As long as the cream gets absorbed AND there is no current pain i.e. it is preventative, then it is not a problem.
