Bishul on Shabbos : croutons in hot soup?

Hi,

Is there a problem putting croutons into a kli-shaini soup on Shabbos?

Popular croutons such as Osem are made of wheat flour which is baked.

  1. Does it make a difference if the croutons were fried?

  2. Are croutons considered to be Kalai bishul (easy to cook)?

Since its a Kli Sheini it is not mevashel so it’s not an issue.

Why then is the mechaner quote the opinion not dip pas in kli sheni then? And rema seems to say we should be machmir?

The Rabbi held like the חזון איש on this matter and it’s מותר.
