Hi, if I purchased a blueberry bush from home depot and planted it in a container and it gave fruit in its first year, can I eat the fruit and if not what year can I begin to eat? Does the clock reset if I decide to plant in the ground? Thanks
Good question. The straightforward Halacha would seem to indicate that you must follow the laws of Orlah and wait three years. However, there is an Aruch Hashulchan who seems to have a leniency for this. I’m not sure what the Rabbi’s position was on this. I’m going to try and find out iyh.
