I inspecting frozen strawberries and I found some larve on some samples. Is the whole Mix of frozen strawberries permitted?
Fresh and frozen strawberries have bug problems. They are also a little difficult to clean as well. We’ve actually tested many cleaning methods including soaking, soaping, running water, and more and they did not help to get the bugs off. The only thing that worked for us was cutting off the leaf/stem and then completely rubbing down each strawberry under running water.
An easier alternative would be to purchase frozen strawberries from companies like Bodek that are bug free as a result of the way they grow strawberries.
Does the shulchan aruch mention checking fruits and vegetables for bugs?
