Can food kasher a utensil, or is it only water/heat?
For example, if you have a treif pot (unused for 24 hours) and you cook a completely parve soup in it, would that kasher the pot the same way boiling water in it would?
Lechatachila only boiling water. Whether it works bediavad (after the fact) is a question in the poskim. Avoid.
