Covid testing on yom tov

My wife and I both tested positive for covid and are in lockdown with our three unvaccinated kids (too young). Doc says that if the kids all test negative the day before school starts then they can attend school the next day ( zom gedaliya)

They will be able to walk to the test and no malachah is involved (based on prior testing experience). Is there any reason not to get the test on “2nd” Day Rosh Hashanah especially since docs says the test has to be that day?

Not a problem, but before you make yourself crazy, you probably should ask the school if they agree with your doc policy
