Does a water urn/kettle need to be toiveled

Hi, I was wondering if a hot water urn, the mostly plastic kind that has a base plugged in needs to be toiveled even though it is typically not brought directly to the table. Thanks!

Requires tevilah.

If I’m not mistaken, there is a warning not to immerse hot water kettles with the plastic base, because it has electrónics in the pot that can be damaged. You should ask him which one he uses. Because I have this one and there’s a warning to immerse the top part in water because it have the electronic contacts on it that works when it goes on top of the electronic base.

They all have warnings. We’ve always immersed these in a Mikvah first and then let them dry out for a few days before using them for the first time. We never had any issues.
