Enamel coated metal utensils

I know that there is a machloket if the enamel is considered like glass or like earthenware. Can they be kashered? Do they need kashering?

Technically it is probably like glass and wouldn’t need kashering.
However there are different types and not all the same. It’s certainly not like earthenware in that you cannot kasher it.

So, the simple solution is to kasher it as you do metal… until I can get a more definitive decision.

Is the answer to kashering enamel cast iron to do so the same as metal?

We can treat it like glass, unless there are cracks and in that it would need libun on the cracks.
