Can I make food before Pesah in hametz pots and freeze to reheat and use on Pesah?
No. Any foods you want to eat on Pesach should be made in pots that are Kashered for Pesach
Are you sure? I thought it falls under the category of 1/60???
True in some situations. But there are many variables that needs to be considered first. That’s why for your general question we said to use a Pesach pot
Hacham Ovadia allows it (Yehave Da’at 1: O”C 11) does the Rav disagree?
You seem to be a little educated. If so you know that your question “Can I make food before Pesah in hametz pots and freeze to reheat and use on Pesah?” is correctly answered “NO”. (לכתחילה) Hacham Ovadia holds the same way in his Teshuva. Except he’s discussing why he is being matir if it was already made (בדיעבד). (Of course if there is 1/60+.)
Look at the Mishna Berura תמ״ב ס״ק א-אבל תבשיל שהתבשל קודם הפסח וכו׳. You will see that if there is no ששים you cannot eat it on פסח.
