What should be done with magazines and papers and school notes etc that have references to Torah or prayer or pisukim? What the proper way to discard?

Non Torah publications such as newspapers can be thrown out normally. Even if there’s a Dvar Torah in there. School papers with Divrei Torah such as Parashah sheets, Torah literature including weekly publications should be put in Genizah. Save it in a box and periodically, give it to one of the Genizah collection/Shaimos places.
