After a public she’ur in held in a private home, the baalat habayit found a pair of lady’s gloves. It has been several weeks, but no one has claimed them. From what I see in poskim, she must hold on to them until the coming of Eliyahu. Is this the actual halachah?
A small gathering in a private home? Shouldn’t she be able to track down every that attended?
The gathering consisted of about 40 people. Most were strangers. She has no idea who they are.
In today’s day and age, if someone left gloves somewhere and they didn’t call or text within a week or two, they certainly forgot where they left them and they definitely were מיאש, meaning they gave up on ever finding it. The person who found them in her house can keep them or discard them.
