How crazy does a woman have to make herself to hear havdala from a man? Just to give you an example, it was freezing cold this past Motzi Shabbos and there were three high school girls going around the neighborhood knocking on doors for somebody to make havdala for them. They knocked on my door, but I said I don’t really make havdala till Rabbeynu tam and they’re welcome to wait 15 minutes but they didn’t and went to the next house. Can they/should they just make on their own? I know it says something about women not supposed to be drinking the wine so they should preferably hear from a man.
They can make their own Havdalah
