Is this page and “hechsher” reliable? Just out curiosity. Does anyone on this page have semicha? You have said that just like by any hechsher, you look into the ingredients to make sure they’re kosher, but those hechsherim, such as OU or Star K, are known to be good, while Triangle K is known to be bad. How do I find out if I can rely on this as an Orthodox Jew?
Rav Yitzchak Abadi was the posek for all of Lakewood for decades and has hundreds of students many of which are Orthodox Rabbis throughout the world. Rav Yitzchak Abadi is a talmid of Rav Aaron Kotler of Lakewood.
I do not think this website has ever said that Triangle K is a bad hashgacha. I would say that they rely on leniencies which other hashgachas do not. Rav Ralbag Z"L and his son are renowned talmidei chachamim. I think they deserve respect even though others do not agree with their opinions.
Triangle K is a fine hechsher. Rav Yitzchak Abadi met with them and reviewed their certification. The only thing the Rav said about Triangle K is that they meats (Hebrew National) are Kosher but not Glatt and we should be makpid to eat Glatt.
We rely on Triangle K as a good hechsher.
