Kriat Shema and 248 words

Kavod Harav,

1- Regarding the קריאת שמע the last three words should be repeated by Hazan to complete 248 words. In some sidurim, it mentions that if the Hazan is not careful you need to repeat them yourself. Since it is hard to know, the question is, do you really need to repeat or just hearing should suffice.

2 - If there is a short learning before Minkha and at the end people say kaddish and then afterward the פתח אליהו is read, is it OK to say another kaddish?

3- In case an Israeli is in the US for חג שבועות (this year) and on Shabbat a Kidush recited in the shul, can he relay on the kiddush and eat, since for him it is regular Shabbat?

  1. No need to repeat.
  2. I don’t think you can say another Kaddish but need some research to be sure.
  3. For the day Kiddush - that’s fine. For the night - that’s a great question and I don’t know. If relevant we can look into it be"h.
