What is the ravs conclusion about netilas yadayim by the bed? I am not 100% clear from his teshuva (first in אור יצחק) because he mentions that Rav Ahron wasn’t makpid about it and then says לולי דמסתפינא הייתי אומר שדין זה אינו נוהג בימינו but as I heard one great תח says לולי דמסתפינא means that at the end of the day he was scared. Please clarify. Thank you!
No need for netilat yadayim by the bed. If I recall correctly the לולי דמסתפינא was regarding רוח רעה in general. Not netila by the bed specufically.
