My gas oven will shut off after a while if left on, can I turn it back on on YT if I need to cook? Or can I turn it on and off regardless?
If it turns off you can turn it back on when you need it.
You can also turn it off and turn it back on when you’re ready to use it.

I thought the rational behind this ruling was predicated on your having prepared the fire before chag and therefore you are permitted to rekindle the fire in the event something unexpected blew it out. So why would one be allowed to turn off the flame and turn it back on?
The rationale is, it should have been taken care of before Yom Tov, and it was.
