Like preparing our appliances and countertops, is it the same as always?

On Passover we cannot eat nor have in our possession any Chametz. This includes any of the known five grains that comes in contact with water (excluding properly baked Matzos). The most common two grains are wheat and barley and there are three similar grains in addition. The utensils that we use to eat our food must be kosher. Sometimes these utensils can become unkosher as described below. There are a few methods of koshering, and one must be sure to use the appropriate method for the right utensil. One method is called Hag’alah.
