my Jewish babysitter is paid hourly. When schools were closed she said that she is not babysitting anymore, and I don’t have to pay her, Hashem will help. She lives very simply and has a family.
If I send her money can it be counted towards maaser? Is there any guidance as to how much I can/should pay? I am receiving unemployment wages.

If you know that she needs the money you can count towards maaser. Regarding giving more than maaser, that’s up to you. You’re certainly not obligated, and even not allowed if that means putting yourself in a position where you don’t have Parnassah.
