prayers and blessings

i started reading the Tikkunei Zohar in the days of Shovavim. Even though i am now half way through may i say that this reading is LEILUY NISHMAT my husband?

You may definitely say that. We don’t know what exactly this accomplishes upstairs but there’s nothing to lose.

Once on the topic I’ll share something the rabbi once explained to me… As a general rule, when doing something as a merit for a Neshama, it should be something extra. Not something that we were going to do anyway. For example, by studying something extra or doing an extra Mitzvah that we normally wouldn’t do. This is a great merit for the Neshama.
