Rice Cookers and kashering

Dear Rebbaim,
I’m wondering about rice cookers and if/how to kasher them when needed. if, for example, someone wanted to give you a used one and they did not keep kosher.
Specifically, I’m curious about more complex/expensive machines, such a Zojirushi machines, that have multiple settings, almost like a crock-pot, and have a button for “porridge” which is likely used for congee, that would be rice cooked in broth.
Can this be kashered? if so, how?

Thank you!

Is there an insert that can be removed? If so, stick it in an oven on high for a few minutes for the metal to get hot. If this will damage the insert, then you can boil water in it with cover on and you’re good to go.
