We have been working hard and iterating on a vegan product for years, but we refused to put a product on the menu if we didn’t like it as much as our traditional dairy flavors. That all changed the first time Robyn did a blind taste-test of the Smitten N’Ice Cream – it blew her mind. She knew then and there, we were ready.
ABOUT PERFECT DAY™
Perfect Day is a Berkeley-based startup that developed flora-made dairy protein. It’s nutritionally identical to the protein found in cow’s milk, but made without a single cow. They start with a natural type of microflora known to produce large amounts of pure protein for food. Using biotechnology, they gave the flora a “blueprint” for making real dairy protein through a process of fermentation. This safe and proven fermentation technique is similar to how many common food ingredients have been made for more than 40 years, and it’s the cornerstone of Perfect Day’s new approach to dairy.

ALLERGY STATEMENT (CONTAINS MILK PROTEIN) The Perfect Day™ base uses a whey protein isolate that is flora-based, with zero cows involved. However, due to the fact that Perfect Day™ is creating flora-based whey protein isolate, this product is not suitable for people with dairy allergies. It is however intended for people with vegan and lactose-free diets. **Made in a facility that handles dairy, egg, tree nuts, peanuts, soy and gluten-based products.
