I have a question about the Refreshers being considered not kosher because of the grape juice/grape-derived ingredient. If the grape ingredient is heavily processed and eventually made into a powder that is later mixed with water to make the Refresher base, why does it still have the same kashrus concerns as grape juice?
At what point, if any, would processing change its halachic status?

It’s a good question. Do they do anything more than dehydrating and reconstituting the water? Like other “from concentrate” juices? Those don’t lose their juice status.
This comes up with Brachot as well. We make Ha’etz on orange juice. Even from concentrate. (When I was growing up I was taught in the name of the Rabbi to only make Ha’etz on not from concentrate - 100% pure juice. In later years the Rabbi said removing and restoring the water is no different.)
