Hi Rabbi,
If utensils like these were sterilized by boiling them in boiling water in a non-Pesach-pot, is it ok to use them on Pesach just by wiping them clean? Thank you Rabbi.
Yes they are fine.
I’m not sure why wiping them is necessary if they were in boiling water.
Hi Rabbi. So sounds like no need even to wipe clean? I started this thread based on these being utensils boiled (to sterilize them when new) in a non-Pesach pot, and also I had thought maybe some cleaning might apply if (as in this case) the utensils were used for a while before Pesach without treating them specifically as being Pesach-utensils. Thank you Rabbi.
Hi Rabbi. Am I correct to assume that similarly all these equipment used year round for
baby-formula and breast milk don’t need any preparation for Pesach? Plastic bottles, glass bottles, bottle warmer, and plastic tub & washing gloves for cleaning the equipment. The bottles may have been used at some point to hold baby-formula that is not for sure kosher-for-Passover (likely not recently though), and normal way such bottles have been heated is in a bottle warmer. Thank you Rabbi.
You are correct
Hi Rabbi. I want to make sure I understood correctly about the bottle warmer. Am I correct that no preparation for Pesach applies (for using the bottle warmer during Pesach) even though the bottle warmer has been used to heat up baby bottles containing formula, including formula that might have been not kosher-for-Passover? Thank you Rabbi.
That’s right
