What are the kashrut criteria used?

Thank you for this very informative and useful site. Obviously the criteria used for determining kashrut are based on a different halachic approach than “standard” kashrut agencies and I was wondering if you could either direct me and other readers to a more detailed discussion of how kashrut status is determined and/ or possibly lay it out in a paragraph or two. This would be most valuable
With many thanks

A detailed response is beyond the scope of this website. If you are ever in Lakewood, feel free to stop by to discuss. But in a nutshell, kashrus agencies do a tremendous chesed in allowing us to just look for a symbol and eat a food as they have painstakingly taken the time and money to do the work for you and check to see if the item is made up of kosher ingredients. This website is meant to inform you what to look for and how to find out if a food is kosher without the need for a symbol.
