What is the proper way to dispose of the arba minim after sukkos?

Can the arba minim be thrown out in the garbage or is there a more proper and respectful way to do so? I’ve seen people save their lulav and hadassim until pasach and burn it with their chametz. I’ve seen people throw their aravos on top of the aron in thier shul.

What is the proper way to handle the arba minim? Does it make a difference if it’s during chol hamoed or after sukkos?

Arba Minim may be thrown out in a respectful manner. You can put them in a bag and throw it in the garbage.

would it be okay to include a lulav/etrog with leaves and lawn trimmings that get collected by a town (in those large brown paper bags)?
